Laser

This is a process of removing unwanted body hair with the use of the laser technology is known as Laser hair removal. This process includes the use of a gentle beam of concentrated light on the place of the body where there is unwanted hair. This laser beam reaches the hair follicles by passing through the skin and changes the generated energy to a heat that destroys the hair follicles. The use of Laser hair removal method was restricted only to the use of those with light skins and dark or grey hairs.

Flash lamp/IPL

Flash lamp or IPL, (Intense Pulsed Light therapies) involves a high intensity pulses of visible light to target the reduction of unwanted hair and prevent further growth of the hair follicle at the same time. However, IPL cannot be very effective for those with light colored hair. IPL is also used for treating some spider and thread veins and specific vascular birthmarks. The hemoglobin or red pigments in the blood are also targeted by light pulses for heating and destroying the pigment without affecting other tissues and skin.
