Hair Removal For Man
When it comes beauty and fashion, men are no longer behind women in anyway today. It is not just the women who want to get rid of their unwanted hair to add to their sex appeal. Hair removal for men has become an equally big industry in itself today what with more and more men of all ages and backgrounds coming ahead to do away with their extraneous fuzz. The rise of hair removal for men can thus be noticed with the increasing number of men taking up hair removal solutions and the process no longer being restricted to only bodybuilders, male strippers and swimmers.
According to statistics clinics state that men form almost 50% of their laser hair removal clients. Chests, legs and back are some of the common areas from where men want their hair to be removed. Hair grown in and around the ears, nose, and the space between the eyebrows can also be hair removal spots for men. Similarly, toes, knuckles, back side of the neck and the pubic area are also targeted by men for hair removal solutions.
Just like women, hair removal solutions for men include full-on treatments such as electrolysis and laser as well as alternative treatments like waxing, shaving and use of depilatory creams and lotions. While laser and electrolysis treatment offer long term solutions they may be time consuming and expensive. On the other hand the cheaper and easier solutions of depilatory creams and shaving produce short term results. Waxing, though painful, can be a better option for keeping away the regrowth for a longer time and reducing hair growth with regular usage.
The depilatory creams used for removing men’s hair are specifically formulated to remove course hair unlike the traditional creams used for removing fine hairs of women. Men opting for depilatory creams need to maintain a regularity of applying them every two to three weeks to retain a clean and smooth chest, back or underarms.
Waxing, though painful can be equally effective for removing course and fine hairs and can work equally well for men just as women. Usually, waxing need to be done every four to six weeks.
The process of electrolysis involves removal of each hair follicle through electrocuting by using a thin, long wire. This wire is inserted into the skin touching the hair follicle and destroying it from the root. Electrolysis is supposed to be the most effective method for permanent hair removal. However, you may need multiple treatment sessions followed by one or two touch-up sessions for best results. The fact that hair grows in cycles makes it a possibility that only a portion of the active follicle has been treated in the first electrolysis treatment. It is due to this reason that electrolysis needs multiple treatment sessions. Moreover, if the follicle is not electrocuted properly it may lead to regrowth of the hair.
Laser treatment for hair removal has also become quite popular these days. Men can remove their unwanted hair from chest, legs, back and face very effectively with the help of laser treatment. The shot of laser light known as ‘pulse’ treats a small area at a time. It takes around an hour for the complete removal of hair through laser treatment. Laser treatment needs to be done every six weeks.
